Dewi has continued to extensively educate himself vocationally throughout his career. Since completing his degree, Dewi has taken part in numerous industry courses with the aim of improving his skills base.

Dewi has attended National Film and Television School (London) specialist courses concentrating on the legal and financial aspects of producing feature films and running a production company, which led to teaching work on production techniques on some short courses there and in Wales. Dewi has also taken part in producer training courses at Raindance in London and with Sgrin in Wales. He is an alumnus of the EU Media+ Film Business School, Spain, where he was mentored by some of the world's leading feature film production and distribution figures. Courses in screenwriting have continued his passion for creating genre film narrative. Since forming his company Garland Stone Productions, Dewi has been involved in high end Welsh based business training schemes such as Entrepreneur Action, dedicated to enabling entrepreneurial business skills in industries such as the creative industries.

Dewi is now a regular visiting lecturer at The International Film School Wales, at undergraduate and masters levels (Contacts Humphry Trevelyan).

Dewi runs acclaimed courses specialising in Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting for Cyfle and BECTU in Wales and London (Contact Shan Gwenfron Huws @ Cyfle, Sian Gale @ PAWB, Michelle Smith @ BECTU London). Recently Dewi has also run these courses at the National Film & Television School Short Course Unit – contact Edi Smockum.  Dewi now also runs courses in Final Draft software for writers, script editors, and production personnel.

Dewi's role as a visiting lecturer on the masters' degree in Film Producing and Business Management at the Film Academy, University of Glamorgan has grown to being a major contributor to this post graduate degree. Dewi was responsible for creating much of the first online Masters Degree in Film Producing and Business Management for the University of Glamorgan.  Subsequently Dewi has been recruited by the University of Southern California Film School for their collaborative project with the Royal Jordanian Film Commission - The Red Sea Institute for Cinematic Arts, based in Jordan (www.rsica.com). Dewi is responsible for lectures in Producing on the two year MFA course.
